| ScreenSelect was a DVD rental service based in the United
Kingdom. Originally a stand-alone service, it became the trading name of Video
Island Entertainment when the two companies merged in 2004. ScreenSelect offered unlimited DVD rentals for a fixed fee each month. Depending on what monthly price is paid the subscriber may have one, two or three discs out at one time. It currently has the largest selection of movies compared to other DVD rental services. There are over 60,000 titles to choose from and advertises as having every UK DVD. Video games can also be rented. There are games available to rent for Nintendo GameCube, PlayStation 2, PlayStation Portable, Xbox and Xbox 360. Screenselect merged with Lovefilm in April 2006 and has now changed it's name to Lovefilm. It has alos changed some of it's prices |
